Job summary

Creek Technologies is seeking an Environmental Scientist to provide on-site hazardous materials and hazardous waste management support at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. You will identify, containerize, label, and store hazardous waste while maintaining accurate records and supporting spill response planning.

The role requires 3–6 years of environmental science experience, familiarity with SDS, chemical labeling and storage, and on-site regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional experience in environmental science or hazardous materials management.
• Experience reading and interpreting Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of chemical labeling, segregation, handling and storage practices.
• Experience developing or implementing spill response procedures or plans.
• Experience maintaining hazardous material/waste documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for hazardous materials and hazardous waste management.
• Identify, containerize, label, and store hazardous waste and purge materials.
• Maintain disposal records and supporting documentation.
• Perform routine compliance inspections of storage areas.
• Enter and maintain material and waste data in inventory systems.
• Coordinate delivery of chemical containers and gas cylinders.
• Maintain accurate physical inventory of hazardous materials.
• Review SDS to determine handling, labeling, and safety requirements.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage per requirements.
• Develop and coordinate site-specific spill response procedures.
• Support OSHA and other EH&S regulations compliance.
• Assist with chemical disposal methods based on regulations.
