Job summary

1Above Technology LLC in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Hardware Technician for a full-time, on-site role. You will install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, printers, and peripherals, while diagnosing issues and performing repairs as needed.

The position requires 2+ years of hands-on IT hardware experience, familiarity with Windows/macOS, and basic networking. You will document work in the ticketing system and support office deployments and moves.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT hardware experience.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS setup and configuration.
• Basic networking concepts (IP addressing, cabling, Wi-Fi).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Certifications or degrees in CS/IT are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including component replacements.
• Set up workstations with imaging, software and network connectivity.
• Assist with hardware inventory, labeling, and lifecycle planning.
• Support network hardware such as switches and routers as directed.
• Provide on-site and remote hardware support for staff and clients.
• Coordinate hardware returns, warranty claims, and vendor repairs.
• Document all work in the IT ticketing system.
• Collaborate with IT staff on deployments and office moves.
