Job summary

InTown Suites in Columbia, SC seeks a Property Attendant to maintain a safe, comfortable setting for guests and serve as the after-hours emergency contact. This on-site role requires vigilance, guest assistance, and adherence to security guidelines while living on property as per policy.

The attendant will perform rounds, verify access, assist with minor maintenance, and ensure cleanliness and security nightly. On-call duties and coordination with the General Manager are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret information from internal hotel materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff in English.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keep watch on the property when the office is closed.
• Report safety or security issues to the General Manager or authorities as needed.
• Respond to guest needs and concerns professionally in person and by phone after hours.
• Establish professional relationships with property guests.
• Secure storage and employee areas nightly.
• Verify guest lists and control access to rooms.
• Record rounds and incidents on the Property Attendant Checklist.
• Assist guests with minor maintenance issues.
• Follow company procedures for ID verification and access to rooms for locked-out guests.
• Take responsibility for keeping the property clean and free of debris.
• Follow on-call schedule.
