Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ is hiring junior to mid-level GNC engineers to design, develop, and test software and simulation toolchains for missile flight applications. On-site role focused on 6DoF simulations and validating flight code within a team.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience (various levels) and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. ERAP eligibility and a strong background in GNC are preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of professional experience (Level 1).
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 1 year (Level 2).
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Level 3).
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience, or Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years (Level 4).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Directly related Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) experience.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains.
• Work on a 6DoF simulation to design and test missile flight code.
• Evaluate system performance using 6DoF models.
• Experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and implementation into missile flight code.
• Experience with trajectory optimization software and tools.
