Job summary

3M is seeking a Corporate Development Analyst in Maplewood, MN, to identify and develop acquisition, investment and partnership opportunities, and to support deal structuring and due diligence. The role involves coordinating with business leaders and cross-functional teams and may require leading smaller projects.

This on-site position requires a strong foundation in finance, M&A, and consulting, plus the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Two (2) years of combined experience in mergers and acquisitions, finance, and/or consulting in various environments.
• MBA from an accredited university is a plus.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills in building and adapting financial models.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Corporate Development Managers and business leaders to understand strategies and identify opportunities.
• Support development of tailored deal structures and processes for optimal project objectives.
• Assist in large, cross-functional due-diligence transactions and forecasting.
• Prepare financial packages for executive committees to enable investment decisions.
• Lead smaller projects of moderate risk and complexity when needed.
• Build relationships with business decision makers to align around project decisions.
