Job summary

3M is seeking a Manager, Corporate Development to collaborate with global teams and drive M&A initiatives. You will lead portfolio management, develop a robust pipeline for acquisitions and divestitures, and support deal execution from due diligence to valuation.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in M&A, with 8–10 years preferred. On-site at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, travel up to 25% and relocation may be authorized. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of merger & acquisitions experience within corporate development, investment banking or other project management-related setting in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Eight to ten (8 – 10) years of experience in mergers & acquisitions, investment banking or corporate development roles
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents for Board of Directors, executive groups, and other senior leaders
• Experience managing multiple, competing priorities in a constantly changing environment
• Comfortable with ambiguity and tight deadlines
• Proven ability to understand, design, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions with an emphasis on execution and results

Work location

• Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/international

Relocation: May be authorized
