Job summary

Deer Oaks Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary clinical team onsite at long-term care facilities in the local community. The role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with strong administrative and clinical support to focus on compassionate care for older adults with chronic conditions.

You will conduct evaluations, provide individual psychotherapy, facilitate family and group sessions, and collaborate with nursing, physicians, and rehab teams

Qualifications

• Licensed psychologist licensed to practice in the state
• Experience with geriatric populations and long-term care settings
• Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary team
• Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality care

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, mental status exams, and cognitive screenings
• Provide individual psychotherapy tailored to older adults and those with complex medical or cognitive conditions
• Facilitate family therapy and caregiver support sessions
• Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions when appropriate
• Provide behavioral management interventions to support residents, staff and families
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
• Manage caseload independently while exercising clinical judgment
