Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of natural gas compression equipment within an assigned territory. The role requires independent work in remote field environments and offers on‑site duties with travel within the territory.

Pay ranges from $28.00/hr to $45.00/hr, with final compensation based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Mechanical aptitude with engines, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote, and sometimes harsh environments.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
Complete startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
Submit accurate maintenance reports, expense reports, and timesheets daily.
