Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair of natural gas compression equipment within an assigned territory. The role requires hands-on work in field environments, ensuring uptime and adherence to safety and OEM standards.

You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to call-outs, and document service reports while coordinating with operations and engineering teams. Regular travel within the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude with engines, rotating equipment, or heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor, remote environments.
• Must provide own small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on natural gas compression equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct engine overhauls, compressor rebuilds, and component replacements as needed.
• Complete start-ups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities safely and efficiently.
• Submit accurate maintenance and timesheet reports daily.
