Job summary

TribalScale is seeking a Forward Deployed Full Stack Engineer with an active US Secret clearance to embed with a US government-facing client. You will work on site, shaping features from concept to production in a secure environment.

You will build front-end using React/TypeScript, design APIs, and deploy in air-gapped or restricted networks, including AI-enabled capabilities while collaborating with client teams and TribalScale specialists.

Qualifications

• Strong front-end skills with TypeScript and a modern framework (React preferred).
• Strong back-end skills in at least one of Python, Node.js, Java, or Go, plus REST and/or GraphQL API design.
• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL or similar), including data modeling and query performance.
• Hands-on with containers and CI/CD (Docker required; Kubernetes/OpenShift a plus).
• Cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP (Gov regions a plus).
• Client-facing experience and ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with AI-native development and tools in daily work.
• Comfort with ambiguity and delivering progress without a full spec.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the client team on site and remotely with end users, product owners, and security teams.
• Build full stack features from frontend to data layer and infrastructure, owning a feature end-to-end.
• Deploy software into secure, restricted environments such as on-prem or government clouds.
• Turn ambiguous needs into working software with rapid prototyping.
• Integrate AI features and agentic workflows that fit security and data handling constraints.
• Collaborate with ISSO and compliance teams on authorization requirements.
• Bridge back to TribalScale with field insights and coordinate with specialist teams.
