Job summary

TribalScale is seeking a Forward Deployed Full Stack Engineer with an active US Secret clearance to embed with a US government-facing client. You will own end-to-end features from concept through secure deployment, on-site and remote, delivering software in a constrained environment often within a week.

You’ll combine React front-end work with API design, data modeling, and CI/CD in a security-focused setting, while collaborating across client teams and TribalScale experts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full stack development.
• Active US Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
• Strong front-end skills in TypeScript and React.
• Strong back-end skills in Python, Node.js, Java, or Go with REST/GraphQL design.
• Relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on with containers and CI/CD (Docker mandatory).
• Cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP; Gov regions a plus.
• Excellent client-facing communication and ability to explain tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client on site and remotely to understand workflows.
• Build full stack features across front end, back end, data, and infra.
• Deploy in secure, restricted environments and iterate quickly.
• Prototype and refine solutions with stakeholders, avoiding lengthy specs.
• Integrate AI features while respecting security and data handling constraints.
• Collaborate with client ISSO/compliance and TribalScale teams.
