Job summary

Hope Neurological Medical Services and its affiliates are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to manage a busy front desk, greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and coordinate appointments. The role supports clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced neurological clinic.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of front desk experience in a medical setting, strong communication skills, and familiarity with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• 1–2 years front desk or medical receptionist experience required
• Experience in a medical/neurological setting preferred
• Familiarity with insurance verification and EHR systems required

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and welcoming manner
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referrals at each visit
• Collect co-pays, patient balances, and process payments accurately
• Schedule new and established patient appointments and follow-ups
• Maintain a clean, organized front office and waiting area
• Manage multi-line phone system and route calls promptly
• Coordinate scheduling changes, cancellations, and urgent add-ons with clinical staff
• Assist with basic front-end billing/charge capture and insurance verification
