Job summary

Fusion Transport is seeking an experienced Freight Dispatcher to join our Rutherford, NJ team. The role is in-person, Monday to Friday, with responsibilities spanning brokerage, dispatch, and operations to ensure timely and cost-effective freight movements.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years in freight/logistics, experience with TMS systems, and a high school diploma or equivalent. We offer comprehensive health benefits, PTO, holidays, a 401(k), and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of freight/logistics experience in dispatch or brokerage.
• Experience with TMS systems (Mercury Gate, DAT or Carrier411) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers.
• Monitor routes and backhauls to maximize daily route efficiency.
• Track and report shipment status of loads.
• Vet carriers to securely broker freight.
• Coordinate logistics for projects from multiple sites and vendors.
• Maintain accurate records and complete freight paperwork.
• Resolve freight discrepancies and respond to customer queries professionally.
