Job summary

UniGroup is seeking a Manager, Fleet Operations in Des Peres, Missouri to lead and optimize the Fleet Operations team at our on-site headquarters. You will drive operational excellence, manage van operators, and partner with agency networks to ensure excellent service delivery and solid financial performance.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across planners, agents, and customers as we scale our transportation network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or related industry experience.
• Experience leading teams, coordinating operations, or managing cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fleet Operations team with coaching and performance management.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices.
• Monitor revenue, budgets, and KPIs.
• Optimize fleet utilization for efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee van operator recruitment, qualifications, and support.
• Collaborate with agency stakeholders on orders and execution.
• Work with planners, agents, and operators to resolve issues.
• Support customer implementations and account management.
• Monitor accounts receivable activity and finance performance.
• Participate in business reviews and growth initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between UniGroup units, partners, and stakeholders.
