Job summary

UniGroup seeks a Manager, Fleet Operations to lead the Fleet Operations team at our Des Peres, Missouri headquarters. The role drives operational performance, fleet utilization, and financial results, supporting a network of agency partners and van operators to ensure efficient transportation services.

The ideal candidate balances people leadership with strategy and execution, using strong relationship-building and continuous improvement to deliver results across a complex transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, transportation, logistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or related experience.
• Experience leading teams or coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Fleet Operations team with coaching and performance management.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and best practices.
• Monitor revenue, budgets, KPI, and profitability for fleet operations.
• Optimize fleet utilization for efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee van operator recruitment, retention, qualifications, and support.
• Partner with agency stakeholders to manage transportation orders and service execution.
• Collaborate with planners, agents, van operators, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support customer implementations, account management, and ongoing service needs.
• Monitor accounts receivable activity and support strong financial performance.
• Participate in customer and provider business reviews and growth initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between UniGroup units, agency partners, and stakeholders.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
