Job summary

KEG 1 Missouri, LLC is seeking a Director of Fleet Operations to lead delivery and fleet functions, including staffing, training, routing, vehicle management, safety, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in transport, logistics, safety, or business preferred.
• Experience leading delivery, fleet, or distribution ops with supervisor and frontline staff.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance, driver qualification files, vehicle inspections, and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate Delivery Department and Supervisors to ensure safe, efficient, accurate, and timely work.
• Lead workforce planning: staffing, onboarding, training, scheduling, and retention.
• Coach Delivery Supervisors; ensure Drivers and Helpers operate safely and perform duties.
• Address performance issues per policy with documentation and progressive discipline.
• Oversee daily route planning, account assignments, and routing-system data for service and productivity.
• Monitor route execution, hours, refusals, shortages, and service times; investigate exceptions and act on findings.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, HR, Accounting, and leadership on staffing and equipment needs.
• Respond to customer concerns, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• Conduct market rides and work-withs to assess service conditions and training needs.
• Manage fleet of owned and leased vehicles, trailers, cameras, monitors, and related equipment.
• Maintain fleet asset records, lease admin, maintenance, inspections, registrations, titles, insurance, and tax reporting.
• Schedule repairs, verify work, review estimates, and maintain vendor relationships for timely service.
• Administer fleet safety systems, inspections, audits, and documentation of readiness.
• Lead vehicle accident/injury response and insurer coordination.
• Ensure OSHA, DOT, FMCSA compliance and driver qualification records.
• Coordinate driver qualifications, CDL, medical certification, safety history, drug/alcohol program records.
• Lead new-hire orientation, safety training, and system training.
• Ensure route plans, availability, equipment assignments, and records are current.
• Maintain professional written communication with leadership, employees, customers, insurers, and partners.
• Participate in Safety Committee and support loss-prevention programs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
