Job summary
Worth Moving LLC is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for its Powhatan, VA operations. This full-time, on-site role involves maintaining and repairing company trucks, trailers, and moving equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.
You will perform inspections, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and complete repairs while ensuring compliance with safety standards and DOT regulations. Strong documentation and team collaboration are essential.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ASE or diesel tech training is a plus.
- Experience with fleet maintenance and repair in transportation or logistics preferred.
- Strong focus on safety, DOT regulations, and accurate service documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on fleet vehicles.
- Complete repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
- Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
- Assist with emergency repairs and ensure readiness for moves.
