nVntori is seeking a Part-Time Fleet Mechanic in Houston to maintain the operational readiness and safety of trucks, trailers, and yard equipment. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor-to-intermediate repairs, with an emphasis on reliability and downtime reduction.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 2 years of mechanical/fleet maintenance experience preferred.
Valid driver's license required; CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain trucks, trailers, container chassis, and yard mules.
Perform preventative maintenance: oil changes, coolant, lubrication, tires, batteries.
Inspect suspension, steering, braking, drivetrain, electrical, and lighting systems.
Perform brake inspections and routine wear component replacements.
Inspect air brake and pneumatic systems for leaks and wear.
Replace lights, wiring, reflectors, and other wear components as needed.
Maintain fifth wheel assemblies, landing gear, doors, hinges, and locks.
Document vehicle conditions and maintenance actions for planning and compliance.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when needed.
Support DOT inspections and regulatory readiness.
