Job summary

Equipment Depot, Inc. is seeking a skilled field service technician in Texas to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline trucks and equipment at customer sites and shop locations.

You will read work orders, diagnose problems, perform repairs, and document service details while ensuring safety and reliability. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required to effectively communicate with customers and document service activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and to present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and listen to the truck in operation to diagnose problems.
• Offer solutions and provide estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and diagnosis.
• Record repair details and equipment information on the work order.
• Communicate with customers about repair needs and completed work.
• Inspect safety devices and adjust as needed; lubricate moving parts.
• Test drive repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• Represent Equipment Depot professionally at customer sites and in work van.
