Job summary

FlexTG is seeking a Service Technician to cover the Chicagoland area. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain printers and copiers while delivering an exceptional customer experience in the field.

This hands-on role requires travel across the Chicagoland region, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. A valid driver's license and ability to lift equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing printers and copiers required.
• Experience with HP, Ricoh, Canon devices preferred.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Chicagoland area.
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and triage service calls for printers and copiers within your assigned territory.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on office equipment to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.
• Manage service delivery for multiple customer locations, including handling escalations as needed.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and internal support teams by opening and managing technical support tickets.
• Accurately document service activity, including call details, parts usage, meter readings, and resolutions.
• Maintain inventory of service parts and equipment required to support territory needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients and end users.
• Communicate service updates, equipment status, and recommendations clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and operational procedures while working in customer locations.

Position Summary

FlexTG is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to support customers throughout the Chicagoland area. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining printers and copiers while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior experience servicing printers and copiers is required.
• Experience servicing HP, Ricoh, and Canon devices is preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and desktop technology.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Chicagoland area to support customer locations.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as required for service activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a service territory or supporting multiple customer accounts.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple service requests.
• Experience working directly with manufacturers or escalated technical support teams.
• Industry certifications related to printer, copier, or office equipment repair are a plus.
