Nelson Stud Welding, Inc. is hiring a Field Service & Repair Technician in Hayward, CA. You will troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair the regional rental fleet, plus customer equipment, and assist customers and sales reps with technical problems on-site and remotely.

You will also perform demonstrations, weld samples, and occasional boiler outage work. The role requires an AA or equivalent (or 6 months–1 year related experience), ability to read and interpret manuals, write routine

Qualifikationen

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts including percentages and volumes.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Aufgaben

• Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair regional rental fleet and field equipment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair customer equipment.
• Assist customers in person and by telephone with equipment and technical problems.
• Assist sales representatives in person and by telephone with equipment problems.
• Perform in-house demonstrations for customers.
• Weld samples for sales representatives and customers.
• Perform as a boiler outage service technician as required.
• Perform cycle counts; handle shipping/receiving when needed.
• Complete company deliveries to various locations and perform general maintenance.
