Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an on-site service technician to repair and maintain automated semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing upgrades, ordering parts, and training customer operators to ensure smooth operation.

The ideal candidate has electrical/mechanical repair experience, with semiconductor or military backgrounds valued. Travel may be required, and per diem plus possible shift incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field preferred; High School Degree or GED minimum requirement
• Professional electrical and mechanical repair or troubleshooting experience
• Military experience is considered in place of educational requirements
• Prior semiconductor industry experience is valuable for this team

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site service and repair of automated semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoots and diagnose equipment problems
• Maintains records and reports as required
• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
• Orders and installs new parts
• Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Performs upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remains current on equipment/tools through training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Maintains standards of conduct acceptable to both company and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)
