Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to provide on-site engineering support for energy infrastructure projects. You will review drawings, oversee installation, testing and commissioning, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant execution.

The role requires field-based experience, strong understanding of mechanical systems, and travel to multiple project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in energy services or construction.
• Experience in field-based roles on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specs.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site mechanical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving during projects.
• Review mechanical drawings, specs, and vendor documentation.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
• Conduct field inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare field reports and technical documentation.
• Support quality control procedures for mechanical systems.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies on sites.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings with technical input.
• Resolve mechanical design and construction conflicts.
