Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on FDOT heavy civil projects in Florida. The candidate will manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on active construction sites.

The ideal candidate brings strong highway construction background, plan interpretation skills, and the ability to collaborate with project teams and FDOT representatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; construction management or related education preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil/highway/roadway construction experience, with supervisory responsibilities.
• FDOT project experience preferred; ability to supervise field crews and multiple construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily field operations on FDOT roadway, highway, drainage, and heavy civil projects.
• Coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, equipment operators, materials, and deliveries.
• Interpret construction drawings, project plans, specifications, and FDOT standards.
• Ensure work complies with plans, quality requirements, schedules, and safety regulations.
• Oversee roadwork activities including grading, drainage, utilities, concrete, and asphalt paving.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and FDOT representatives.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, quantity records, and progress updates.
• Enforce OSHA safety requirements and field quality control measures.
