Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent for a heavy civil highway project north of Tampa Bay. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting the Project Superintendent and directing subs, foremen, and crews on FDOT work.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction, FDOT contract experience, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 is a plus; relocation to Tampa Bay/Central Florida is welcomed.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction
• Experience with FDOT contracts, specs and reporting
• Current level: Assistant Superintendent, General Foreman or senior Foreman
• OSHA 10 is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production
• Keep daily reports, logs and field documentation current
• Handle quality control in the field
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors
• Coordinate equipment, material and deliveries
• Own jobsite safety and toolbox talks
• Track quantities and daily production
• Travel between work areas on the project as needed
