Job summary

Hire Consulting Services in Florida seeks an Assistant Project Superintendent for a heavy civil highway project north of Tampa Bay. This onsite, full-time role backs the Project Superintendent and runs subs, crews and FDOT work.

You''ll oversee daily field reports, safety, coordination of equipment and deliveries, and interface with FDOT inspectors. Relocation to Tampa Bay area is welcomed; a strong opportunity for career progression to Superintendent.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction.
• FDOT contracts, specs and reporting experience.
• Current role: Assistant Superintendent, General Foreman, or senior Foreman.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Valid driver''s license with clean driving record.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day.
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production.
• Maintain daily reports, logs and field documentation.
• Perform field quality control.
• Attend meetings with owner and FDOT inspectors.
• Coordinate equipment, materials and deliveries.
• Own jobsite safety and conduct toolbox talks.
• Track quantities and daily production.
• Travel between project areas as needed.
