Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Facility Desktop Support Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot IT equipment including WOWs, PCs, scanners, and related peripherals. The role supports end-users across the health system and assists the IT Asset Manager with asset management at NYC facilities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing hardware/software issues, resolving networking problems, and providing clear user guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with four years of full-time paid experience in mainframe/mid-range/server environments or local desktop support; supervisory experience preferred.
• Education/experience equivalent to above.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provide on-site technical support to end users.
• Manage and prioritize support tickets through ServiceNow.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and hardware components.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software and document resolutions.
