Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Custodian to perform daily janitorial duties and minor repairs, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the facility. You will report maintenance issues to management and assist with room setups for events.

The role requires clearance/verification steps, ability to handle demanding environments, and adherence to safety regulations. On-site work with competitive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance and background verification required.
• DOJ Live Scan and TB test are mandatory.
• Flu vaccine (or declination) required for religious reasons only.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior facility condition, including building, parking lot and grounds.
• Perform daily janitorial tasks and restock bathrooms.
• Assist in minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, painting) and upkeep of supplies.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events; ensure safety protocols.
• Follow supervisor checklist and maintain orderly storerooms.
