Job summary

Gendy Street Management Corp (GSMC) is seeking a Facilities Technician I for the Will Rogers Memorial Center (WRMC). The role involves skilled maintenance, installation, and fabrication across trades such as Welder, Roofer, Painter, and Building Equipment Operator.

This on-site position supports WRMC operations and follows preventive maintenance schedules. Responsibilities include developing work plans, ensuring safety, keeping records, and coordinating supplies.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Minimum high school graduate or GED required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of verifiable assigned trade skills and capabilities.
• Preferred to have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial facility maintenance.
• Trade school graduate with specialized training in trade skills and/or a building-related field (HVAC, Electrical or equivalent).
• Other engineering or maintenance certifications desirable (ASE, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing).
• Experience/training in public assembly facility management preferred.
• Knowledge of laws, codes, safety precautions, and emergency procedures related to facility management preferred.
• Must have Texas driver's license.
• Keyboarding and MS Office proficiency preferred.
• CMMS experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Provide superior customer service experience.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external parties.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to communicate with management, guests, and team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans and schedules for assigned trades area.
• Follow safe work practices and safety guidelines.
• Maintain records, write reports, and prepare correspondence.
• Establish and follow a preventative maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Inspect and clean tools after use.
• Order and maintain supplies per procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
