Job summary

TDMC manages all aspects of venue management, including but not limited to event booking, event management, marketing, IT, technical services, food & beverage, parking, security, housekeeping, changeover, maintenance, and more. TDMC manages several venues in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Summary

Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a full-time Electrician for the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems and related equipment throughout the facility. This position performs skilled electrical work, troubleshoots electrical issues, completes preventative maintenance, and provides technical support to supervisory personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.

This position will be 100% on-site.

Essential Job Functions
  • Installs and maintains Event Show power equipment and cabling for all the Will Rogers events. This position would also be responsible for striking and storing all show power equipment & cabling after each event.
  • Complete responsibility for all the Electrical Systems of Will Rogers Memorial Center, parking garages and surface parking lots
  • Supervise and manage the PT Electrician staff on all event electrical load in’s and load outs, plus electrical systems maintenance, minor/major repairs and troubleshooting, utilizing all available resources.
  • Must be able to issue written and oral instructions to the PT Electrician Staff, directing work procedures, preparing work schedules to align with daily tasks and event needs, expediting workflow, ensuring productivity, assessing performance and resolving problems. Examine work performed by the PT Electrician staff for exactness, neatness and conformance to proper procedures and current applicable building codes.
  • Assist with PT Electrician Staff’s Annual performance reviews and can teach, coach and discipline them when warranted.
  • Must have verifiable experience in the operation, repairing and preventative maintenance of various commercial Electrical & Show Power equipment that includes, switchgear systems, distribution and circuit breaker panels, Show Power equipment & cabling, Company Switches, and other associated electrical equipment.
  • Must have electrical maintenance skills and/or mechanical abilities that can easily perform repairs and maintenance requests on electrical systems, interior & exterior building lighting systems, and other various electrical related systems and equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to work on electrical equipment in confined spaces and in “high” areas of the buildings utilizing High Lift equipment, scaffolding, swing stages, ladders, etc., using the appropriate fall protection gear. These high areas could include, but are not limited to, the roof area, ceilings up to 65’ high and cat walks suspended 150’ from the arena floor.
  • Coordinate and/or assist with the required monthly, quarterly and annual inspection and testing of all emergency lighting systems, the emergency backup generators and ATS operation.
  • Coordinate, assign and/or assist in properly maintaining and inventorying all electrical maintenance equipment, tools, supplies and attic stock in a professional manner, and making sure all the electrical work areas are kept clean and organized, to promote a safe working environment
  • Assist with monitoring and/or directing the work of third-party contractors on all electrical related repairs and projects. Ensure contractors adhere to building policies and safety standards, as well as follow the guidelines of the contract/proposal for the specific project/work.
  • Ensure adherence of the PT Electrician staff to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70 and other current safety codes, as well as compliance and adherence to hazardous materials standards and codes with the goal of ensuring a consistently safe working environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual Engineering Operating budget and provide insight into the annual capital budget for long range Electrical repairs and improvements to the facility.
Qualifications
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED is required, with an Electrical Trade school diploma preferred.
  • Must be a Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the required two-year degree or certificate in electrical courses, or four years of intensive experience under the supervision of a master electrician.
  • Must be knowledgeable with all applicable laws, current electrical codes, ordinances, safety precautions, and emergency procedures related to facility management.
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical repair, maintenance or general construction
  • 4+ years in a supervisory/management capacity.
  • 4+ years’ experience operating, maintaining and repairing a Crestron Lighting Control/Dimming system or equivalent is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and electrical systems repairs
  • Experience and/or training in the public assembly facility management industry preferred.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, plumbing schematics, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency call-outs as operational needs require.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and fluctuating temperatures.
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Working Conditions
  • Employees will work in environments with fluctuating indoor and outdoor temperatures.
  • Employees must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. As business, maintenance, operations, or emergency situations require, employees may occasionally assist in lifting or moving items weighing 100 pounds or more.
  • Employees will regularly work around animals typically found in a fair, livestock, 4-H, or FFA environment (horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs, etc.).
  • Employees may spend portions of the day using computers, tablets, and other office equipment to complete work orders and documentation.
  • Employees will regularly stand, walk, climb ladders, use stairs, crawl, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces throughout the workday.
  • Employees will be exposed to high noise levels, wet conditions, dust, chemicals, sewage, and varying lighting conditions.
  • Employees will be exposed to plumbing-related hazards including pressurized water systems, confined spaces, hazardous chemicals, and occasional electrical hazards, requiring strict adherence to established safety procedures.
  • Employees may be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and equipment and must follow all established safety protocols.
