Job summary

Trail Drive Management Corp is seeking an on-site, full-time Facility Technician I - Painter for Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform interior and exterior painting, surface repairs, and wood refinishing to keep the venue in top condition for clients and guests.

The role requires at least 3 years in commercial painting/carpentry, a Texas driver license, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events dictate.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or GED.
• 3+ years’ experience as a carpenter/painter in commercial buildings.
• Willingness to learn applicable laws, codes, safety precautions, and emergency procedures.
• Must have a Texas motor vehicle license.
• Willingness to learn and operate a CMMS.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair painted surfaces and wood trim in Arena and adjacent facilities to keep areas in like-new condition.
• Repair damaged wood trim, wainscoting, and related surfaces using refinishing techniques and tools.
• Apply primers and finish coats on interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Fill cracks and joints with caulk or putty and protect surrounding areas during work.
• Read and interpret building plans, sketches, and shop drawings for woodwork design.
