Job summary

Green Dot Public Schools California is seeking a Facilities Associate to provide on-site maintenance for our Los Angeles schools. You will repair building and furniture issues, manage custodial staff, and coordinate with external vendors to keep facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, traveling between sites, and responding to emergencies around the clock. The role requires prior maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license in a dynamic school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certification/licensing a plus.
• Ability to perform facility maintenance and light repairs including heating, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, furniture repair, lock repair, drywall, painting, carpet, and roofing.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least 3 years of experience in facility maintenance with routine use of power tools.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs. and climb ladders up to 6 ft.

Responsibilities

• Provide facility- and maintenance-related services for Green Dot schools.
• Respond to facilities requests in a timely manner using the work order system.
• Proactively identify facilities maintenance needs.
• Ensure custodial staff maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Comply with local/state safety codes and best practices.
• Travel between Green Dot school sites; accommodate overtime as needed.
• Respond to facility-related emergencies 24/7.
