Job summary

GLBHC is seeking an on-site Facilities & Maintenance Technician in Bay City, MI. You will perform a wide range of maintenance duties, inspect facilities, respond to emergencies, and complete work orders to ensure safe and efficient operations across multiple sites.

You will also support space renovations, grounds maintenance, and the care of dental and medical equipment, while coordinating with the Safety Team and managing procurement and on-site vehicle duties.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Licensure: Chauffeur's Driver's License required with a cleared MVR status.
• Experience: Two (2) years in building maintenance, facilities, skilled trades or equivalent.
• Physical effort: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hours: Full-time with 24-hour on-call; telecommuting not available.
• Travel: Extensive travel between GLBHC facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure safe, efficient operation of facilities and equipment; inspects, repairs, maintains, and documents work orders.
• Supports facility improvements including painting, minor construction, space remodeling, furniture moves, and room reconfigurations.
• Maintains grounds and landscaping across locations; seasonal outdoor work, snow removal, and equipment management.
• Maintains dental and medical equipment across facilities, performing preventive maintenance and repairs per manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborates with Safety Team to uphold safety, infection control and environmental standards; participates in safety initiatives.
• Purchases materials per procurement guidelines and documents transactions in finance software.
