Job summary

Insight Health Systems in Michigan is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine to skilled groundskeeping and equipment maintenance on campus. Primary duties include mowing, trimming, planting, plowing, salting, and ensuring safety for patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with trade school or prior work experience required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent written communications for reports.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
• Must have a reliable phone and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Attend mandatory training and pass tests.
• Utilize work orders, PMS, and tasks management system.
• Discuss concerns with the director.
• Plan daily work to keep up with orders and PMs.
• May perform security duties.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to move furniture and supplies.
• Troubleshoot problems and order parts for repairs.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Inspect lawn sprinkler systems and equipment; report hazards.
• Report safety, fire, and security hazards to the appropriate offices.
