Job summary

Global Laser Enrichment LLC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform on-site upkeep, preventative care, and repair of our site and equipment. The role requires hands-on work, quick response to emergencies, and adherence to safety standards.

You will inspect electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems, execute PM tasks, coordinate with contractors, and maintain accurate service records to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or structural defects and perform efficient repairs.
• Multitask and reprioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with management and contractors.
• Facility-required certifications (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, CFC, ISO).
• Ability to obtain and maintain government Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• System inspections across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural systems to identify issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment availability in collaboration with Shift Management.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls; some after-hours/weekend support may be required.
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks: change filters, lubricate machinery, repair leaks, replace bulbs.
