Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated’s Traverse City on-site Maintenance Technician role supports operation, inspection, and maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment. Primary duties include assisting the operations team with repairs and routine upkeep.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, Tenderizer, meat saw, slicers, etc.).
• General interior maintenance.
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance.
• Be on call for after-hours emergencies.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed.
