Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) in Huntsville seeks a skilled laborer to load and unload trucks, move materials, and assist craftsmen on site. You will handle furniture, bins, and equipment using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts, while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You must pass background checks and drug tests, have a high school diploma, and be willing to obtain a Class B CDL if required. U.S.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass background checks and/or drug test required on contract.
• Willing to obtain and maintain Class B CDL if required.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds and work in inclement weather.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Must be able to receive a security clearance for access to material up to and including SECRET and/or pass a National Agency Check.

Responsabilités

• Loads and unloads trucks, containers, bins, and operates other conveyances; moves supplies to proper location.
• Stacks materials for storage or binning; collects material for reuse or disposal; savaging materials as needed.
• Moves and arranges various types of material, office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances.
• Assists other craftsmen in day-to-day duties.
• Keeps work areas, equipment and tools clean; handles sweeping and washing duties.
• Performs heavy manual work including lifting up to 50 pounds and loading/unloading furniture or bins.
• Supports project Safety Plan and uses PPE.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations.
