Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hazardous waste technician to provide hazardous and non-hazardous services at a client facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include managing onsite waste needs, completing US DOT/EPA paperwork, operating equipment safely, and maintaining a professional image with clients. OSHA 40-hour Hazwoper certification and CDL class A or B preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of industry related work and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image with clients and suggest solutions to problems.
• Manage onsite hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per contract.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure completion of US DOT/EPA paperwork for disposal of hazardous waste.
• Operate equipment safely to complete projects efficiently and timely.
• Understand contract terms and follow through on assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Reading requires normal close vision.
• Dexterity for paper flow and keyboard operation.
• Mobility and hearing to gather information and confer with others.
• Health must permit regular attendance and extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Clean Storage Warehouse, Household Hazardous Waste, Laboratory activities, Waste Sampling and Handling
