Job summary

Cindavi is seeking an Environmental Coordinator for our Montpelier, IA site to balance plant walkthroughs with data, reporting, and permits that keep the operation compliant. The role begins with air emissions and expands to hazardous waste and water compliance as you learn the site.

You will walk the facility, partner with operations and engineering, and help maintain ISO 14001 through audits, training, and incident response while working 8–5, Monday–Friday with limited travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant environmental regulatory compliance experience; five or more years preferred.
• Confidence working with environmental data, spreadsheets, and agency reporting portals; air permitting or emissions reporting experience valuable.
• Willingness to walk an active industrial site, climb stairs, work at heights, and spend time outdoors in Iowa weather.
• Experience in manufacturing, hazardous waste, water compliance, or ISO 14001 is a plus, not mandatory across every area.

Responsibilities

• Walk the facility regularly, partner with operations and engineering, and address potential environmental issues before they escalate.
• Support air-permit compliance and emissions reporting, our highest-priority environmental focus.
• Track hazardous-waste documentation and support water-related permitting, monitoring, and reporting.
• Gather inspection and sampling data, maintain accurate records, and help prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
• Help maintain our ISO 14001 environmental management system through training, audits, corrective actions, and incident response.
