Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Engineering Manager in Champaign, IL to lead a team of Mechanical Engineers and oversee the design and integration of mechanical and hydraulic equipment for customer applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years engineering experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Previous leadership or engineering management experience preferred.
• Experience with complex mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience with engineered-to-order products desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Mechanical Engineers while managing priorities and workloads.
• Oversee design and engineering of mechanical and hydraulic equipment for customer applications and installations.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through design, manufacturing, installation, and product support.
• Drive continuous improvement related to product design, reliability, manufacturability, and field performance.
• Support transition of new products from R&D into production.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers for project execution.
• Provide technical expertise on product applications, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and field issues.
• Evaluate new technologies and methods to improve products and processes.
