Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking a Project Manager for Power Systems based in Phoenix, AZ. You will oversee projects after sale through completion, coordinating procurement, scheduling, and execution across departments and vendors.

Responsibilities include maintaining project profitability, managing BOMs and engine orders, preparing submittals and drawings, and ensuring timely delivery, invoicing, and start-up activities. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of power generation equipment and its applications.
• Willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects.
• Ability to travel within Empire territory and stay overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specs, BOM, and proposals to ensure project profitability.
• Maintain electronic project records using internal PM software.
• Prepare engine orders and liaise with Sales on acceptance and arrival.
• Prepare BOMs, RFQs, and purchase orders for equipment.
• Create project timelines for material, assembly, testing, and delivery.
• Prepare submittals, drawings, and wiring diagrams for customer approval.
• Produce service instructions with engine configuration details.
• Coordinate invoicing estimates with Engine Inventory Administrator.
• Negotiate project additions outside original scope.
• Ensure as-built drawings are completed and delivered.
