Job summary

Amphibious Medics is hiring an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as the construction site medical representative, performing triage, first aid, and referrals as needed. The role involves maintaining medical records, managing on-site supplies, and coordinating with safety teams during hazards and incidents.

The candidate must have a valid EMT-B certification, CPR/BLS, OSHA 10/30, and at least one year of 911 emergency medical response experience, with ability to work on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site.
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees.
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers.
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team.
• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers.
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair.
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers.

Education

National Registry or State EMT-B Certification

CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer)

High School Diploma or equivalent

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
