Compass Career Solutions in United States (Washington) is seeking an Employment Specialist for this in-office role with daily community outreach. You will assess eligibility, match clients to employment goals, and document progress while collaborating with a diverse team.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), 21+ years old, and experience in employment services or crisis support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in the social service field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• One-year related experience and/or training working with people in crisis, specifically in employment services.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle insured for you as a driver are required.
• Self-starter, excellent time management skills, and proactive problem solver.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Technology savvy - Especially Microsoft Office Applications and Zoom.
• Ability to perform CPR/First Aid as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of DDA and DVR.
• Conduct assessments and interviews with clients to determine eligibility.
• Discover and maintain knowledge of clients, their employment goals, potential employer matches, and other case management needs.
• Good communication is key in this role; document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal/external team members.
• Assist clients to assess and further their career growth and skills.
• Assist clients in obtaining gainful employment at wages at or above minimum wage.
• Provide ongoing employment related soft and hard skills development.
• Document data and notes toward progress on goals and plans.
• Make connections to maintain strong community partnerships with providers and employers.
• Represent Compass at meetings and community events; participate in scheduled meetings.
