Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Service Technician - Embedded to be a dedicated on-site resource at a client location. You will perform service, maintenance, diagnostics, repair and testing of access control, video surveillance and related security systems, while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

You will handle system upgrades, device programming, and documentation, and you’ll coordinate with the client and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with some driving experience and a clean record.
• Minimum of three years of field experience in electronic security.
• Minimum of two years servicing access control and video management systems.
• State licensing or ability to obtain it.
• Excellent computer skills with multiple systems and ticketing platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical and networked security systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows, networking, IP addressing and servers.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to meet deadlines.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site security resource performing service, maintenance, diagnostics, repair and testing of security systems.
• Respond to client requests and outages while meeting service levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues ensuring compliance with codes and safety policies.
• Support system upgrades, firmware updates and patches; maintain databases.
• Assist with system commissioning and device programming as directed.
• Document and track service issues in ServiceNow per regulations.
• Interpret electrical schematics and CAD drawings for low-voltage work.
