SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid level embedded software developer to help develop government systems on-site at NSWCDD. The Firmware Developer will write firmware for microcontrollers, develop embedded software for new and existing systems, and update tools for configuration.

The role requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance, US citizenship, 3-5 years of embedded C/C++ experience, and familiarity with tools like Code Composer Studio, MPLAB X, and Visual Studio.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with embedded software development related to microcontrollers or similar devices.
• Proficiency in C and experience with C#.
• Experience with git and software debugging tools.
• Knowledge of embedded software development for hardware and related architectures.
• Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and soldering as needed.

Responsibilities

• The Firmware Developer will write firmware to run on specified microcontrollers to achieve desired functionality.
• Develop embedded software for new and existing systems.
• Update or write tools to configure newly updated devices.
• Support testing and assessment of embedded systems locally and at external locations.
• Routinely collaborate with the government team on-site.
