Job summary

Actalent seeks an on-site Safety Specialist to lead electrical safety on a Wisconsin data center construction project. You will monitor field activities, enforce OSHA and client requirements, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance across the site.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Safety or related field, 3+ years of construction safety experience (preferably electrical), and current OSHA 30/10 certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field or equivalent field experience.
• At least 3 years of construction safety experience, preferably in electrical environments.
• Current OSHA 30-hour certification and OSHA 10-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site safety lead for electrical operations on a data center construction project.
• Monitor daily activities of electricians and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Conduct routine site audits, inspections, and jobsite walkthroughs to verify controls.
• Enforce OSHA regulations, client safety requirements, and company policies.
• Develop and maintain safety plans, JHAs/JSAs, and permit systems.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and field safety training.
• Manage risks related to LOTO, arc flash, energized work, and elevated work.
• Track safety metrics and maintain compliance documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Safety or related field

3+ years construction safety experience

OSHA 30-hour certification

OSHA 10-hour certification
