Job summary

Actalent is seeking an On-Site Safety Lead for a data center construction project in Wisconsin. You will oversee daily field activities, enforce OSHA regulations, and drive a proactive safety culture among electricians and subcontractors on site.

The role requires 5+ years of construction safety experience, especially in electrical/heavy industrial environments, and the ability to manage complex risks in a fast-paced project setting. This is a contract, on-site position in Kaukauna, WI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience, with emphasis on electrical/industrial environments.
• Experience as safety manager or equivalent on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• OSHA 30, OSHA 10, and OSHA 500/510 certifications are preferred.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site safety lead for electrical operations on a data center construction project.
• Monitor electricians and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices and compliance with procedures.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and walkthroughs to identify hazards and verify corrective actions.
• Enforce OSHA regulations and client safety requirements across all field operations.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans, JHAs/JSAs, and permit-to-work systems.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing field safety training.
• Manage risks related to LOTO, arc flash, energized work, and elevated work activities.
• Track and report safety metrics and leading indicators for continuous improvement.
• Maintain safety documentation to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
