Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking an Construction Safety Manager for a long-term 1099 contractor role in Fort Wayne, IN. The position focuses on overseeing electrical construction safety on a data center project, ensuring compliance and safe execution with field crews.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 certification, and experience with electrical contractors. NFPA 70E knowledge and LOTO planning are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• Experience working with electrical contractors.
• 3+ years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operations.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Support electrical installation activities, temporary power systems and equipment installations.
• Assist with energized work planning and electrical hazard mitigation.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety coaching.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project.
