Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an On-Site Electrical Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. The role represents the professional in the field, supporting installation and delivery of electrical infrastructure and ensuring clear communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering teams, reviewing RFIs and submittals, and monitoring safety, quality, and progress on site. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and extensive experience in electrical systems for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
10+ years of experience in electrical design, construction, operations, or commissioning.
Or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data center projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site representative for electrical systems.
Support construction activities involving MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, and generators.
Conduct daily field observations to assess quality, safety, and installation progress.
Coordinate electrical design issues and field modifications with engineering teams.
Facilitate review and resolution of RFIs, submittals, and equipment substitutions.
Monitor installation activities for compliance with drawings, specs, and design intent.
