Jacobs seeks an On-Site Electrical Engineer for a project near Baton Rouge, LA. This role acts as the field representative, supporting installation and delivery of electrical infrastructure and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering teams, reviewing RFIs, and conducting field observations. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years in electrical design, construction, or commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design, construction, operations, or commissioning; or 5+ years for hyperscale data centers.
• Experience with substations, switchgear, UPS, generators, MV/LV distribution, and protective relaying.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and testing requirements.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary on-site representative for electrical systems.
• Support construction activities involving MV/LV distribution and related systems.
• Conduct daily field observations for quality, safety, and progress.
• Coordinate design issues and field modifications with engineering teams.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and equipment substitutions.
• Support BIM coordination and interdisciplinary coordination efforts.
• Monitor installation for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Identify deficiencies, installation concerns, and schedule risks.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, energization, and startup support.
• Collaborate with commissioning, QA/QC, and owner teams.
• Prepare weekly site observation reports and technical recommendations; participate in project meetings.
